The process and designs are all his own, making his art truly one-of-a-kind. Using his years of experience in silk screen and printing, and many years developing a distinctive process, Hal’s art primarily focuses on creating color enamels from raw components and firing the color enamels onto glass art and china jewelry.

Today, Hal finally has the chance to turn his attention to creating his own unique high-fired glass art and ceramic enamels. Some of his most famous clients included John Entwistle of the Who, Tico Torres of Bon Jovi, Bill Kreutzmann of the Grateful Dead and well-known rock photographer, Jay Blakesberg. Much to his liking, Hal’s screen printing business eventually led him to work with some of history’s most influential rock artists – true artists, in their own right. His paintings often depict scenes from everyday life as well as his life with Bon Jovi. He taught his silk screening method to graduate students from 1992 – 1998. He is also an artist who has exhibited his paintings since 1994. While running his own business, Hal also shared his skills and knowledge, passing them on to future generations of Artists, as a Professor at the University of Northern Colorado. Few can appreciate the true skill in this Art, as Hal often had as many as 90 different colors to run in a complicated array of patterns and designs. Years later, the brainstorming paid off when he opened his own full-time studio primarily printing Limited Edition Serigraphs – most of which were replicas of well-known paintings done by such nationally known artists as: Earl Biss, Robert Katona, Guillaume Azoulay and Anton Akhipov.

While learning this time-honored trade, his artistic mind was already hard at work trying to figure out how to apply the screen shop medium to modern Art. Hal has been engulfed in the contemporary art community for nearly 35 years, beginning with the retro sign and screen shop industry of the 1970’s.

Hal Connelly’s innovative glass art d’cor combines silk screening methods of old with modern glass art designs to add truly unique beauty and color to any home, office or art collection.
